Hello everyone, this is Richard. Welcome to watch the StarCraft II video tutorial. Today I am going to teach you a new operational skill named Carpet Air-dropping. This is course two and I will be very happy if you like this series of video tutorial. I am sure that there must be a lot of players having heard Carpet Air-dropping and wish to learn it. This short video will explain the steps and key points of Carpet Air-dropping in detail.

Well Firstly, I choose 2 Medivacs shipping with 16 Marines to do this operation. I am going to use one Medivac to show you Carpet Air-dropping in the normal flying process first. Right click the central ground of the map and then hold Shift and D and left click the Medivac and move. Let us have a look; this is a simple operation of Carpet Air-dropping. It makes all the Marines air-drop in the moving process. It can achieve a very excellent effect during the air raid. All the Marines are dropped and deployed in a linear formation. It can effectively avoid being perished by the bomb of enemies’ Banelings or Siege Tanks. It can also extend the range of harassment.

Now I am going to show you again how to operate Carpet Air-dropping by using one Medivac. Firstly right click the central ground of the map or your destination. Hold Shift and D and left click the Medivac, and then right click the ground to move. During this process, you should always hold Shift. The Medivac will fly as the tailored route automatically. Please notice that the Hotkey D is to unload all the units when the Medivac is loading the army. And if you left click the Medivac itself, the units will be unloaded in order at the position of the Medivac. As there is an interval between two units unloading, Carpet Air-dropping can be operated in the moving process.

Well, you have learnt the easy operation and I will teach another one which needs faster operation. I will show you how to operate Carpet Air-dropping by using two Medivacs. Let us have a look. Right click the right ground of the map, hold Shift and D and left click one Medivac and another. And then hold Shift and right click the ground to move. Look, two Medivacs are doing Carpet Air-dropping at the same time. The principle is the same as one Medivac and the only difference is that you need to click the Hotkey D twice on two Medivacs separately. Then each Medivac will unload the Marines in order at its current position in the moving process. Once it arrives at the first designated destination, hold Shift and right click the ground to move, the Medivac can unload all the Marines in a linear formation.

Ok, have you learnt today’s Carpet Air-dropping? If you have not, please feel free to contact Richard, and I will teach you this operational skill in more detail. More exercise is quite important and necessary for everyone, no matter you are a beginner or a senior player. You will see your every progress in the actual battles after taking enough exercise.

Ok, this is today’s video tutorial of StarCraft II, thank you for watching. In the next course, I will bring more knowledge and skills about operation in StarCraft II and hope you can learn more from it. Ok, see you next time.
